March 1st 2017
Well back at ya one more time. We
have now completed the first leg of our return from “Nothingness”. Let me tell
you, this doing “Nothing” is quite time consuming and requires a fair amount of
physical input. I think, though, I have become somewhat accustom to the whole
concept and can appreciate how some people would find vacationing to be a
requirement in life. That is not to say I will grab wholeheartedly onto the
concept but will find it considerably more difficult, in the future, to condemn
the practice as frivolous and financially irresponsible. OK, enough nonsense, I’ll just tell you about
it and you can judge for yourself.
From Orlando we drove down to the
Port of Palm Beach where we boarded the Grand Celebration, a cruise ship, bound
for the Bahamas. The trip was only 3 days and 2 nights and only made one stop,
in Freeport, in The Grand Bahamas. It was a fun filled 3 days with almost nonstop
entertainment and all the food you could eat all of the time. We spent time
just lying in the sun, splashing in the hot tub and just staring at the stars
in what seemed the darkest of endless nothing. How appropriate, we thought, for
midway through a trip designed to experience the fullness of “Nothingness”.
As I promised “ Applejack goes to the

Returning from a cruise of a lifetime
we drove from The Port of Palm Beach to Daytona Beach, Florida where we spent
the next few days looking out over the white sand beaches of the Atlantic Ocean,
just trying to catch up on some rest. We
did see the Daytona International Speedway as we drove past on International
Speedway Boulevard but aside from
spending a couple of hours walking the beach we did almost absolutely “Nothing”
and found that to be fully relaxing as we prepared for the final destination of
our quest for “Nothing”, Cancun Mexico.
And now “Applejack goes to the races”

We left Daytona at 4:30 in the
morning to drive to Orlando Int. Airport and from there we flew to Cancun
Mexico. Yes, my arms were tired by the time we got there. This portion of our “nothing”
filled vacation was the highlight of the trip. We did some walking on the beach
and the gulf course, where we found a good number of iguanas and even saw a
saltwater crocodile sunbathing on the shores of the lagoon. We took a lot of
pictures of iguanas and I’m sure the Mexicans wondered why, because it would be
like taking pictures of gophers in Saskatchewan. We spent an awesome 5 days and
4 nights in one of the most awesome places in God’s great creation. Should we decide to do “nothing” ever again I think that will be the place to do it.
We are now in Virginia, heading home and will catch up with you once we reach
the Homeland.
God bless you all, please keep praying
for us as we pray for you.
