Time to resurrect the blog.
“Why?” you might ask.
Now that’s a good question and I think I have a good answer.
We’re on the road again. It’s been a year and a half since we last blogged. It’s
not like we haven’t done anything during that time, just not anything to blog
about. Let me just give you a quick look at what that year and a half looked
like. Last time we blogged was on our return to Langley BC after almost 1 full
year away on the road. After that we remained in Langley at Gateway catching up
on things there. Then we went south to Dinuba Ca. where we volunteered at
Gleanings for the Hungry, January through Mid-March and back to Gateway till
June. We spent July and August volunteering at Bethel Gospel Camp in Northern
Saskatchewan. And from there we moved lock, stock and barrel to Hamilton ON
where we bought a house and have been serving at WEC Headquarters since. So
there you have it, a year and a half gone by so fast it seems like only
yesterday I sat at this same computer writing that last blog.
So now what? As I said,” We are on the road again!!” Well that’s
not really true; it won’t be until the early hours of the 6th day of
Feb. when we will point our car towards the south heading out on a vacation.
There I said it, a vacation, I’m not sure I know what that is but I’m going to
try to figure it out. I think I am grasping the concept. Unlike in the past we are
not going somewhere to do something; we are apparently going somewhere to do “nothing”.
Wow! What a concept, not going there to fix it, just going there to be there.
So the question remains, what will we be doing while we are doing “nothing”?
Ok. This is a quick look at where we will be during our do “nothing”
time. This is where you can help, if there are any suggestions on what “nothing”
we should be doing in each of the following places. Orlando FL., Bahamas
cruise, Daytona Beach FL and Cancun Mexico, please feel free to tell us about
it. Any special attractions, any recommended must do things or even anyone we
should make an attempt to see.
Also, while we are busy doing “nothing” please pray for us,
first that we may figure out how and then that we will not become too accustom
to it. Then pray for safe travel whether by land, sea or air. Yes, please pray
that we will continue to enjoy each other’s companionship and that we may
remain tolerant of one another. The day we arrive in Orlando I will have
completed 70 consecutive revolutions around the sun, please pray for many more
(70 more will do just fine).
I will let Gail check this over to see if there are one or
two words not spelled correctly then I will see if I can remember how to post a
blog.
Blessings to all
Erwin & Gail
